Stock Donations

From time to time, AIMS receives a charitable donation of stocks. Remember, stock donations are great because there is no capital gains tax and the donor receives a tax deduction for the full face amount.

For example, if you bought stock for $1,000 and it's now worth $10,000, you receive a tax deduction for the entire $10,000 without having a $9,000 capital gain. You save in two ways.
